Sriracha Roasted Brussels Sprouts

My husband is the kind of cook who can throw things together and end up with the most delicious outcome. He doesn’t need to follow a recipe (like I do), he just has a great sense of what goes well together. And I kind of hate him for that!

He started making these brussels sprouts a few months ago,and we are completely addicted!

Here’s what you need: (to serve 2-3 people)

10-12 brussels sprouts

1/2 c of walnuts

1//4 c of bacon bits (or 1 slice)


1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter


First peel your brussels. Don’t wash them, just peel away the outer leaves to reveal the brighter leaves on the inside.

Cut off the stems, and cut them in half.

Heat the oil and butter in a pan on medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, place the brussels face down in the pan.

Allow them to cook face down for 3-4 minutes (or until they have good color on the bottom). Sprinkle on the salt, pepper, Sriracha, and bacon bits.

Add the sugar and walnuts.

Stir them up and turn off the heat. Allow them to cook in the pan for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve them as a side or just eat them as a snack! Enjoy!
